- The problem
- Buying a cloud server meant a seven-step wizard, and about half the people who started it never finished. The biggest single loss came right after the step that asks for the server’s size.
- The role
- Product designer. Tested the buying flow with a user, made the case for Heap and planned what to track, found the weak step, designed two ways to choose a size and A/B-tested them, and redesigned console pages such as the server list.
- The result
- The designs shipped in Arvan’s console. In the A/B test, 44% of everyone who started the wizard set a size with the sliders, against about 1% with the table; completion stayed at about 52% either way.
